So what’s the FaithVillage blog all about?
A quick scan of the blog categories says a lot: inspiration, culture, faith online, and leadership. That may sound like enough ground to cover but this little blog is just laying the foundation for an exciting new social network for faith experiences.
The FaithVillage blog is the forerunner to a full-blown website that we audaciously hope will become a vibrant online community that expands personal faith, shares quality ministry resources and deepens collaboration around the causes that matter to Christ-followers.
So, in the future FV you’ll find a robust social media platform, like Facebook, but also surrounded by Christian videos, blogs, podcasts, news, ministry resources, volunteer training tools, book and music downloads, as well as articles from leading publishers.
We said we were just getting started.
Set that rich variety of content in a robust social media community with an awesome visual interface and convenient online shopping and you have a virtual village where you can endlessly explore, connect and belong.

About the Editor & FV Team
Brad Russell is the Senior Editor/COO of FaithVillage and lives in Dallas, Texas. He is a husband, father of three, and a lapsed triathlete who is currently back on his bike.
He brings to FV a passion for resourcing people of faith and bringing value to Christian leaders. The FV project seems to be God’s unique way of creating a synergy out of his career experiences in media and communications, ministry as a senior pastor and church planter, and a consultant to faith-based non-profits. In true new media style, the development team for FV includes a talented group of top-tier researchers, designers, web developers and online journalists in four different cities.
While FV seeks to serve a diverse community of online Christ-followers wherever we find them, it is a next-generation media service of Baptist Standard Publishing, a 120-year veteran Christian news organization, proving that, yes, old dogs can learn new tricks, and new ventures are most successful when they have some strong legs to run on. ;-)
