Mission Ministries and FaithVillage

Have you ever been so moved by a story you wanted to share it with everyone you know and then some?

After seeing this World Vision photo story, I felt that way. Falima, a 25-year-old abandoned mother of five, finally found refuge after traveling 15 days from her famished farm in Somalia, where she battled to keep her family alive. She smiles now that she’s experiencing the generosity of a missions ministry – one comprised of compassionate men and women who strive to transform lives by sharing God’s Word and helping those in need.

Mission volunteers and staff have all kinds of stories like Falima’s to share. In FaithVillage, these stories can inspire others to learn, hope and give. The FV team wants to help your organization spread the word about your ministry, so here’s a look at how organizations devoted to missions and causes can use FaithVillage.

Communicate Internally and Externally

Whether your team has two members or five thousand, ministries that use FaithVillage will be able to communicate with team members in a safe and secure online environment. All levels of partnerships provide ministries the ability to share files and calendars, which makes internal communication and development easier.

Many mission organizations and nonprofits have staff that work remotely, seasonally or across the world. FaithVillage creates a space central to your team. The FV social media Lofts not only expedite internal announcements, updates and stories, but they also connect your ministry with other like-minded people, companies and donors.

As an FV content partner, your organization can brand content that you’re already producing (i.e. blogs, videos and articles) on a customized landing page with a personalized URL, like www.faithvillage.com/yourname. You will also be able to upload photos, podcasts and downloadables to your web page.

Nurture Relationships

FaithVillage is all about community. For missions and causes, it’s important to engage the audience and capture their attention. Using the FV virtual village makes it easy. Your organization can engage users who may then become advocates for your cause, sharing your content with their peers that work to raise awareness of the good you’re doing in the world. Through FaithVillage, your team may increase as FV users are inspired to get involved in your ministry, program, or cause-based opportunity.

Your organization will be able to network with others in the Engage Mission Center, a building dedicated to causes and missions, thus expanding your influence in a niche audience.  You’ll be able to maintain conversations with potential donors, volunteers, and staff. With FV groups and forums, community engagement is simple. Prepare for a mission trip six weeks before and update that same group on the project six weeks later. Keep a blog on FV detailing the trip and share it with the rest of the FV community to provide an even more immersive experience in regards to what your team strives to accomplish.

Build Your Audience, Your Ministry and Your Team.

If you aim to grow, whether that’s in your local area or across the globe, FaithVillage serves as a platform for building community. Your ministry can create groups specific to your audiences’ needs and wants, while at the same time building your brand recognition and movement.

Upload your own content on your landing page and see it inside other buildings in the village. Network your ministry’s blogs in the JavaJuice Blog House, where your blog will can be displayed via an RSS feed. Every piece of content, whether it’s an article, a video, a photo story or a podcast, can have links back to both your landing page and your organization’s own website.

An FV content partnership will provide causes and missions a place to live, learn and inspire the next generation online. Visit our partnerships page to discover how your organization can get involved or read more about FV on our FAQ.
