Friday was our last day of camp. We had a great time with the kids and with the Word of Life staff. It was bittersweet for everyone leaving the camp. Everyone is pretty tired but sad to leave our work at the camp. The team has done a great job leading kids songs, skits, recreation activities, and playing with all the campers.
We had our last dinner with the seminar students and the Word of Life staff took us into town for ice cream. We ended our day spending some time together singing worship songs. Our next few days, we will be spending some time in Atibaia and Sao Paulo learning about Brazil.

Thursday we were back at the camp and had a great day! It was bright and sunny so we were able to run all the recreation activities. The weather is incredible, sunny and in the 60-70s. We have been having a great time with the kids and with our Brazilian friends with Word of Life.
The team is excited about today but sad because it is our last day of camp. Thanks for all your prayers we have really been seeing the Lord work.

Wednesday morning we did projects around the Word of Life House Vende (a house for after-school programs for kids). The girls prepared crafts for the after-school program and the guys re-sanded their playground.
In the afternoon, the team helped with the Vende after-school program. A group of DBU students led by Rebecca Swanson, performed a drama for the kids. Then after songs and games, Dexter Carter shared his testimony with the high school guys. The team wrapped up the day playing games with all the kids and spend the evening hanging out together.

Tuesday, we spent the day finally getting to run the camp for a full day! It was awesome to see all the team out loving the kids and leading recreation. We have been running soccer, volleyball, basketball, row boats, playgrounds, and a small zip line.
We also received a devotional by David Cox, Jr., Word of Life Chaplin, who's wife is a DBU alumni and he has worked with other DBU groups.
Everyone is in high spirits and no one has complained about anything.

Monday we started camp with the kids. It's early mornings for the team, but they are doing awesome. We are up and walking to breakfast at 6:30 a.m. each morning. Each morning we walk about 15-20 minutes to Word of Life seminary cafeteria for meals.
Monday it was raining so we had to improvise with recreation activities. The children, ages 5-11, came from a local school and the team helped lead in some songs, performed a skit, coordinate some indoor games for about 180 young kids and Dexter Carter (DBU Sophomore) shared his testimony.
We are praying for no rain so we can run the camp facilities for the whole day.

We arrived in Brazil on Saturday, and we quickly jumped into working with the Word of Life group here. We got to the WOL House around 10am and after lunch kids began to arrive for an after school program.
On Sunday morning, we attended a local church where Edi Morris, DBU music major, along with a few DBU students joined in leading worship for the church.
Sunday afternoon, we spent time with Brazilian seminary students from Word of Life Seminary discussing camp
Ministry.
Sunday night, we attended FBC Atibaia with WOL seminary students and attended a fellowship afterwards at the seminary.
