Because of a family situation, it is hard, if not impossible to leave home I am a member of a Church Online. Not only do I watch services. But I take part in a chat during the service. (I am a chat host.) And I run several online life groups. With the tools at hand, such as

skype, google +, and zoom, sharing is easy and personal. (Who needs a living room?)I have been blessed with many brothers and sisters in Christ. My presence is missed if I can't make it online. The Online Church is as much as an organism as a brick and mortar building. The Bible says if two or more are gathered in His name... it means that Jesus makes it amongst us, even if we are thousands of miles away.
If we don't hear from each other, we email to see what is wrong.
If you are just there to watch the services online, you are right. But if you go to a brick and mortar church just to watch the services, you are also missing out, just the same. The Church Online, in my case, is as vibrant as anything building can be.
In fact, when I do get a chance to go to the actual building, I miss my usual companions.
Those churches who attempt to create a Church Online need to remember to create chats during the services, as well as online bible studies and online life groups as well.
Jesus went to the market place to preach the gospel. What is more market place today, than Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Ebay?
